The
Sandy & Rocky terrain courses are combined to give you a full
weekend of 4by mania.
We start
with the Sandy Terrain
course for a full day. From here we make our way (in convoy) to our
camping grounds some 60 / 70 kilometers away. Traveling down gravel
roads gives you the chance to pick up new techniques and is all part of
the course. So is using a UHF radio and we encourage you to communicate
with it (don't worry if you don't have one... we have loads). Camping
out is an option and by no means compulsory. However, it's great to
relax around the camp fire and talk about the days events. We encourage
you to bring your family and make a real weekend getaway of it. For
those that don't want to camp out we have a special meeting
place so you can
join the group and carry on with the weekends training. Classes are
kept small on all Austracks courses so we get a chance to get to know
everyone.
After a
great night around the camp fire, but not before we have that morning
cuppa, we head off to commence our Rocky
Terrain course. We travel through some fantastic bushland
full of wildlife and flowers. Following the rocky terrain course
outline we take a break for morning tea and lunch under some shady
trees. Then it's back to work for the rest of the afternoon. We finish
up with certificate presentations and refreshments.
