The Gibb River Road is by far one of the most spectacular adventures left in our Great Outback. What you need here is patience and time. To fully appreciate this diverse landscape you need to be in "Broome Time" so you can meander through the many gorges, springs, rivers and waterfalls that the Kimberley has to offer. The going can be tuff but usually with the right approach there are few problems.

This 14 day tour starts at Derby and takes in the entire Gibb River Road as well as the Mitchell Falls and all the sights in between. We go as far as Wyndham in the north and finish in Kununarra. Once again it is a self catered tag-a-long which means you are driving yourself in your own or hired vehicle.

What if you don't have 4wd experience? Austracks will be conducting a FREE weekend training session for participants attending the tour to bring you up to speed. A certificate will be issued upon satisfactory completion of the course. This weekend will also be used as an group introduction and a pre departure check for vehicles.

This tour is suitable for most 4wd's including Soft Roaders, camper trailers are welcome but must be off road construction and well maintained.
