Small or
medium sized 4x4 vehicles are usually referred to as softroaders which also
includes some of the 'all wheel drive vehicles.' Just because they
are smaller doesn't mean we can't take them to some out of the way places.
It just means we have to treat them a little bit differently and learn the
vehicles limitations so we don't cause unnecessary damage or inconvenience
by getting stuck in some out of the way location.
Austracks has designed a great
course for the Softroaders out there. It follows the same course as the bigger vehicles but we leave the obvious rough stuff out. You
still get to climb sand dunes and tackle rutted tracks as well as take your
vehicle for a swim but the choice is yours. If you would just prefer to
watch while others do it then that is perfectly OK. Nothing is compulsory on
any of our recreational courses.
All aspects of 4WDriving are
covered. We try and dedicate these days to softroaders only. This way you
can converse with others and exchange ideas. So just have a look at our
normal courses and include yourself in one. |
